Child & Family Governance Innovation Initiative (CFGII)
The Child & Family Governance Innovation Initiative (CFGII) is a youth- and family-centered governance and implementation model that helps organizations coordinate the people, plans, services, relationships, and decisions surrounding a young person. CFGII makes youth priorities, adult responsibilities, service follow-through, continuity, and unresolved barriers visible and actionable—so support functions as one coordinated structure rather than a collection of disconnected efforts.
Youth Voice at the Center
Young people help define their goals, priorities, decisions, and supports, with their voices remaining visible throughout planning and implementation.
Clear Roles & Accountability
Each goal and identified need is assigned to a responsible person with a timeframe and review process so commitments are completed, reassigned, or escalated.
Continuity & Follow- Through
Services, relationships, information, and supports are tracked across referrals and transitions so progress is not lost when circumstances or systems change.
